International Expressive Arts Therapy Association, Presentation: More Than Music: The Multiple Dimensions of Harp Therapy by Tammy Stillwater, CTHP and Dr. Richard McQuellon - May 27, 2007
Hey, thanks to all who came and participated in today's More Than Music: The Multiple Dimensions of Harp Therapy! We had a great group, and a great turnout, and FOUR (count 'em) other harpists in the crowd! Time went by way too fast, and there was so much more to share. A special thank you to Dr. Richard McQuellon for co-presenting! His expertise in the field of counseling and his specific knowledge in working with cancer patients was most enlightening.
Our group of participants ranged from a jail nurse (!) to a certified music practitioner to a counselor to a classical harpist and from all over the U.S., including Maine, NY, and Colorado!
The group experimented with resonant tone, had a session of harp therapy with various modes of music, and experienced 'good' vibrations!
Thank you to everyone.... you made it a very special day!
